2016 will mark the 13th year of the Surf Safe Appeal, one of the largest annual fundraising initiatives for Surf Life Saving Queensland. The appeal is pivotal in ensuring that volunteer surf lifesavers have the necessary equipment, training and resources to continue safeguarding our state’s beaches and provides a valuable avenue for Surf Life Saving to highlight the services we provide to the community.

The main aim of the Surf Safe Appeal is to highlight Surf Life Saving’s urgent need for funding and to encourage the community and corporate sector to answer Surf Life Saving’s call for help.

The appeal will run from Monday 24 October – Sunday 30 October.

Volunteer lifesavers from the 58 Surf Life Saving Clubs across the state will participate in door-to-door and street collections seeking donations for their local club.

Join in this year’s Red and Yellow Day!

Red and Yellow Day will be held on Friday 28 October as part of this year’s Surf Safe Appeal. Red and Yellow Day is a chance for schools, businesses and the wider community to get involved in helping support the appeal by wearing red and yellow and making a donation.
